Minimum Order
The minimum order accepted is £25 excluding postage. Unfortunately we have to subsidise the cost of shipping even at £8.95

Prices
Prices quoted are by weight or by unit as appropriate and include all taxes applicable to sales in the UK. The company makes a charge for delivery which is specified on the web-site. The company reserves the right to alter any prices or specifications at any time without notice and all goods are sold subject to prices ruling at the date of despatch. Subject to the above, customers will be notified if the price to be charged is different from the published price and will be given the option of cancelling their order without penalty.

Product substitution
As some cheeses are seasonal, made on a very small scale and ripen at different rates, Norbiton Fine Cheese Co will substitute products that are unavailable with the closest equivalent product. If you do not wish a substitute to be made then you must let us know at the time of placing the order.

 

Defective goods
The buyer must notify Norbiton Fine Cheese Co of any defective or out of condition goods within 24 hours of receipt. All such goods must be returned to us or made available for inspection.

Cheese Weights
Wherever possible we try to go over the purchased weight by a few grams, however if on occassion a cheese is a small amount under  we always try and go over on the following cheese to balance it out.

To minimise the time in transit of our food products, our delivery days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 8am and 6pm. Orders are dispatched to arrive on the day you specify provided we receive it at least 5 days in advance. However, delivery once with the courier is out of our control and we make no guarantees that delivery will be made on your specified day.  We deliver by overnight couriers for delivery to UK mainland addresses (excluding Highlands and Islands), at busy times of year this service can take 2 days, and in poor weather conditions longer still, please be prepared for this by ordering well in advance of the needed delivery date. Please ensure someone is available to receive, sign for and put your purchase in a cool place. Increasingly customers seem to find it most convenient to have their parcels sent to a work address. Any delay in despatch and/or delivery for whatsoever reason shall not be grounds for a claim for consequential loss.

Packing and Postage
The Shopping Cart automatically calculates the Shipping Charges for all locations. UK mainland delivery charge (excluding Highlands and Islands) is £8.95 per delivery address up to a maximum of 10kg. All deliveries above 10kg will incur additional charges. For all addresses outside this area or overseas a carriage charge will be shown on screen before you send your order, the prices shown are for a maximum weight of 5kg. Please call or email before placing your order for current shipping prices if you wish to order more than 5kg. The majority of our products are available for overseas delivery. Norbiton Fine Cheese Co will not be held responsible if local Customs Authorities wish to charge import duty or delay the release of any item.

Payment
Payment must be received by us before an order can be processed. We accept payment on line by Visa, MasterCard, Switch and Delta. Your payment is processed via a fully authorised Payment Service which ensures that all your information remains totally confidential. In the event that any payment is subsequently dishonoured any amount due will be chargeable with interest at the rate of 4% per annum over the base rate of LloydsTSB at the date on which payment falls due notwithstanding that such claims to interest and/or surcharges for non-payment may have been waived by us in the past. We reserve the right to re-impose without notice any discount that may have been allowed if payment is not made in full by the due date. All costs including legal fees incurred in collection of amounts due or in enforcing under the Title clause below will be payable by the customer.

Cancellation of Order
Norbiton Fine Cheese Co reserve the right not to accept or to cancel once accepted any order, without penalty. The customer may cancel an order without penalty only before we have processed it.

Title
All rights of ownership and to possession of the goods supplied shall remain in and belong to Norbiton Fine Cheese Co until full payment has been received for the goods. In the event of non-payment Norbiton Fine Cheese Co has the right, without notice, to enter any premises owned or occupied by the buyer in order to recover all or any of the goods. Repossession of the goods by Norbiton Fine Cheese Co shall be without prejudice to any other remedy of Norbiton Fine Cheese Co. The buyer agrees to keep the goods identifiably the property of Norbiton Fine Cheese Co and to keep them stored in merchandisable condition. The goods will be held by the buyer as bailee and agent for Norbiton Fine Cheese Co until payment in full has been made. In the event of sale of the goods prior to payment of the price in full, the buyer shall hold the proceeds of the sale as an agent of Norbiton Fine Cheese Co until payment in full has been made.

Risk
Risk of damage or deterioration to the goods supplied passes to the buyer on delivery. No claim for damage or deterioration after delivery can be accepted.
 
Quotations
All quotations given by the company are subject to market fluctuations etc and are made without engagement.

Contract Terms
We shall supply goods only on the condition that these terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between ourselves and our customers and these conditions superseded any prior agreement or arrangement.
